Starting later this week, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to catch more than 80 Pok\u00e9mon originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pok\u00e9mon Gold and Pok\u00e9mon Silver video games. We\u2019ve also implemented some new features to enhance your Pok\u00e9mon GO experience.<\/span><\/strong>
\nAdditional Pok\u00e9mon: More than 80 Pok\u00e9mon that were originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pok\u00e9mon Gold and Pok\u00e9mon Silver video games, as well as Pok\u00e9mon with gender-specific variations, will start rolling out in Pok\u00e9mon GO.<\/span><\/strong>
\nNew Evolutions: There are now more opportunities to evolve your Pok\u00e9mon in Pok\u00e9mon GO than ever before. Some Pok\u00e9mon originally discovered in the Kanto region will soon be able to evolve\u2014into Pok\u00e9mon that inhabit the Johto region! Be on the lookout for new Evolution items at Pok\u00e9Stops, which you\u2019ll need to evolve some Pok\u00e9mon.<\/span><\/strong>
\nNew Encounter Gameplay: When you encounter Pok\u00e9mon in the wild, don\u2019t be surprised if they react in new ways as you\u2019re trying to catch them. You\u2019ll also notice the addition of new item carousels that allow you to select Berries and Pok\u00e9 Balls directly from the encounter screen. Hone your skills and catch those elusive Pok\u00e9mon!<\/span><\/strong>
\nNew Berries: Pok\u00e9mon enjoy eating Berries, and you\u2019ll have the opportunity to get two new Berries by spinning the Photo Disc at Pok\u00e9Stops\u2014Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries! Giving a Pok\u00e9mon a Nanab Berry will slow its movements, making it easier to catch. The Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy you\u2019ll receive if your next catch attempt succeeds.<\/span><\/strong>
\nNew Avatars and an Expanded Wardrobe: Now you\u2019ll be able to give your avatar a complete upgrade! Customize your look with a whole new selection of hats, shirts, pants, and other items.<\/span><\/strong>
